Unable to update HijackThis and CWShredder

Feb 12, 2004 12:45AM PST

W98se w/all updates including the "patch"
IE 6.0 w/all updates.
Compaq Presario 7465 w/current update drivers, 320mb desktop and 20gb hard drive.
Optical HP Mouse.
HP Deskjet 722c printer and Visioneer OneTouch scanner.

A couple of days age when I tried to check for an update to HijackThis the system froze (quit responding) when I clicked the check for an update button. Also at about the same time I tried to check for an update to CWS and got the response that it could not connect to update server. Both still the same.

When I tried to utilize the "link for CWS" given by Bob And Marianne I was directed to a site which appeared to be in Greek. I went to "Bootdisk, Cnet and ZDnet downloads as well as Goggle to get download for both programs; and. when I reinstalled them, I get the same results. I have ran AdAware, Spybot, CWS, Stinger, McAfee Virusscan and HijackThis. None find any problems and tell me my system is clean. I was able to update CTS3. Device Manager shows no conflicts and Resources run from a low of 33% to 70%. I routinely clean disk, empty cookies and cache as well as defrag. No change. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!!!

Spywareinfo.com is under a massive distributed denial of service attack

Spywareinfo.com is under a massive distributed denial of service attack. My hosting service is working to filter out the attacking IP addresses but they're coming from all over the world at the moment.

Spywareinfo.com, spywareinfo.net, spywareinfo.org, tomcoyote.org, merijn.org, malware.us, mikehealan.com and dogreader.com are off the net until the attack is blocked.

Aloha Marianna,

Thanks for the fast response and your attention to my request. I thought this might be the case with all the c--p floating around, but was not sure as McAfee had stopped several virus attempts during the past week. Again Mahalo!!!
