Question

Unable to update Flash in Browser

Mar 1, 2015 3:10PM PST

I have a brand new Samsung LED HDTV model is UN40H5201.
I am connected to the internet, I can use Netflix, and the Browser.
When Igo to one of my favorite sites it tells me I need to update Flash.
But when I try to update Flash, it redirects to the Flash update page and highlights 32-bit Linux,
Which one (YUM, .tgz. etc) do I need to select??
Or does anyone have a script I can follow??

Thanks

In short, true.

These Smart TVs don't update like a PC. Only Samsung can issue new apps and firmware. There were models with some Linux underpinnings but Samsung again controlled the apps. The project SammyGo may be of interest but proceed at your own risk knowing that support for that is almost non-existent.

I find a box like Roku or others do a much better Netflix.

Samsung Smart TVs (or any other brand) browsers won't support Flash. It's a Limitation. You can't install any browser plugin on Smart TV browser like we do in PC. It's different Platform.
