Question

Unable to start pc

Jun 11, 2018 3:09AM PDT

Hello everyone, I've got a strange problem to my pc;
For some reasons, when i press the power button, it starts but nothing appears to the monitor, keyboard and mouse are not recognized. I tried to boot the pc without video card or without ram but the problem is the same. I tried to remove the mobo battery for 5 mins and then tried to restart but the problem is still there. I want to add that the mobo doesn't emit any beeps for an error, neither at the start when it was operating normally. Can you help me solving that strange problem?
P.S.
Sorry if my english is bad, I'm not mother tongue.

Answer
Imagine if this was a car.

No make, model. My main car is an Nissan Leaf and if it doesn't start the method to get it going is far different from our Model T.

If you want generic repair advice, google like this:

A low CMOS battery can stop a machine from starting. Since you removed it, did you measure the Voltage?

Also, that CPU has onboard video so a classic is to reduce the number of parts. You don't need the GT730 for testing.

It was not more difficult than expected.

I replaced the CMOS battery but it was not the main problem. I disconnected the power supply cables connected to the mobo and then reconnected and the computer has started. Maybe bad connection to the mobo's pins. Thank you for the help!
