Unable to set up outlook on my Sony Vaio lap top

I have the correct POP name and the correct SMTP name but still no joy. I am able to receive mail but cant send mail. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?

is the correct one? the type of security authentication? Is the login name the same or the full email address as stated by your provider? Did you set it to be the outgoing mailserver to use for sending (unless that's the only email account).

I meant the server port. Did you enter the correct server port number? Some email provider uses 993, 995 for example.

Your ISP should provide directions on their website for how to set up Outlook. Outlook can be tricky to set up. Especially for sending, and especially for ISP's that like to play games with sending email like Cableone.
