Unable to see some images on the web except for a red X

Aug 10, 2010 6:40PM PDT

On some websites and most recently a weather discussion board where many images are being posted by other members all I can see is the word "image" inside of a box along with a large red X. Why can't I see the images? Feedback from anyone.

Try another browser. Choose from Firefox, Chrome or IE. Then please post details: what browser(s) are affected, what site/url, what pictures you can't see.

a) The version of IE (IE6, IE7 or IECool
b) Which pictures you can see and which you can't
c) How it works in Firefox (download and install, if necessary)

Will Belarc Advisor tell me which version of IE I have on this computer? I saw a listing for Microsoft IE and another one for Windows IE.

IE will tell you itself. From the menubar: Help>About Internet Explorer. That's easy, isn't it?
