On some websites and most recently a weather discussion board where many images are being posted by other members all I can see is the word "image" inside of a box along with a large red X. Why can't I see the images? Feedback from anyone.

My browser is IE, version is unknown. The website I was not able to view some images on is listed below, it's a weather board discussing the tropics.

Will Belarc Advisor tell me which version of IE I have on this computer? I saw a listing for Microsoft IE and another one for Windows IE.
