UNABLE TO REVERT TO SAFARI 3 AFTER INSTALLING SAFARI 4

RUNNING SAFARI 4.0.1 ON MACBOOK PRO 4.1 (EARLY '08}, 2.4 GHZ/2 GB RAM.

AFTER INSTALLING SAFARI 4, REALIZED THAT IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE (VERY UNDESIRABLE CHANGES, "COMMAND-PLUS" BEING THE MOST ANNOYING? INSTEAD OF ENLARGING ONLY FONT SIZE, AS IN SAFARI 3, IT ENLARGES THE ENTIRE PAGE, WHICH THEN REQUIRES SCROLLING, AND WHICH MERELY DUPLICATES "COMMAND-OPTION-PLUS").

AFTER QUITTING SAFARI 4, UNABLE TO OPEN (OR REINSTALL) SAFARI 3.2.1 (ERROR MESSAGE SAYS "YOU CANNOT USE THIS VERSION OF SAFARI 3.2.1 WITH THIS VERSION OF MAC OS X")

THEN DOWNLOADED SAFARI 3.2.3 FROM APPLE SITE, BUT WOULD NOT ALLOW INSTALLATION ONTO MY HARD DRIVE (ICON WAS COVERED WITH RED CIRCLE).

SINCE SAFARI 4 IS ONLY A FEW MONTHS OLD, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT SAFARI 3 CAN'T BE INSTALLED?

and so does your malfunctioning Caps Lock.

Typing in all capitals does not increase the urgency of your message, it actually makes your message all that less important to those to whom your SHOUTED plea for help was directed.

Safari problems

To uninstall V4 you would need to remove every vestige of it from your computer.
This includes the items in the Receipts folder, Applications folder and anywhere else you can find it.

Certain things changed from 3 to 4 and the one you are shouting about is one of them. However, a quick trip to the View menu, would reveal an option to "Zoom text only". Click it and from that point on, the Command + "+" key combination will work as you wanted it to.
For this to have been put into the new version, there must have been a bunch of requests for the ability to increase the size of the entire page.

So, having solved that problem, what other "undesirable changes" are there?

"P"? Thank you for solving this issue? my bad for not exploring "View" options!

I was not intending to shout with all caps? the font size I entered in the message body was very small, and I was thinking if it posted in that size, it would be difficult to read.

The other issue with Safari 4 is a reformatting of the main two sites I use daily, but changing "View" to "Zoom Text Only" has helped, so I can now continue using this version.

Thanks again for your help, and sorry about the "shouting"? I know better!
