Question

Unable to play media songs ?

First of all, I did a reinstall of my windows 7 . Than I connected my backup 2TB harddrive to the computer. Next I installed all missing programs one by one. Than all of sudden I tried to listen to my songs in media player but I couldn't. Most of the songs are in the laptops C: drive directory.
The error I get is :

Error : Windows Media player cannot access title. The file might bin use, you might not have access to the computer where it is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct.

Any help appreciated?

DNS setting changed

In reply to: Unable to play media songs ?

Oh yes one more thing I forget to add, I don't have a good wifi connection due to my landlord cutting access to router. So I changed DNS setting using ipv4 .

Re: c-drive directory

If you mean the root folder, move them out to a separate folder, for example c:\mymusic.

Then simply doubleclick those files in Windows Explorer, or use the maps feature of WMP.
