Unable to mount .cue/.bin CD images on virtual drives...

Mar 17, 2005 7:55AM PST

I tried to mount cue/bin CD images on vitural drives, and it gave this message: "Unable to mount image. Cue sheet: Line 1 - File not accessable."

I tried both Alcohol 120% and DAEMON Tools, and got the same message. Checked the .bin files, there doesn't seem to be corruption or anything abnormal.

All the .iso images worked fine. But cue/bin files doesn't mount, for some reason.

My computer runs on Windows XP professional, with SP1. 2.6Ghz Celeron, 1GB ram, and 2 harddrives each 160 and 40 GB. There are no spyware/malware.

Ideas, anyone?

So I but such an image on CD and use it for real. Have you contacted the authors of these programs? Maybe they have beta versions for you to try.

Not sure...

I read through the FAQs for both programs, and posted on the forum in DAEMON Tools. So far, no one had any ideas. I used DAEMON Tools on my old computer, a PIII 733 Mhz with 256MB ram, running Windows XP Professional with SP1. It worked fine for both iso and cue/bin files. I only got Alcohol 120% when DAEMON Tools didn't work. It still doesn't work.

I don't like the idea of getting a spindle of CDs. It costs a lot of money. I have too many burned CDs as it is... -_-

You need to go shopping more.

The last spindle of CDR cost me about 5 bucks. If it's not worth 5 bucks, why keep that on the hard disk?

Puu... I wouldn't be doing this if I'm not a cheapsteak. Any ideas on what's wrong with the vitural drive?

You need to contact the author. Here's why.

Windows XP is getting many updates and the author is likely to have a beta they are working on.

If you are pirating stuff, then a plague upon your computer and may it never recover.

They don't know...

They didn't know anything. I was told it was my computer, and not their software.

Then keep trying.

You have to be free of SPYWARE and more, current drivers and all that. Very few know...

Old computer?

What I don't understand is why did it work on my old computer. The new machine is better in every way I can think of...

Found the problem...

The .bin file names have been altered, so the computer can't find it. Just had to edit .cue destination. Thanks anyway for the effort.
