I accidentally had 2 laptops and my phone logged into my Hotmail email account simultaneously.
When I try to log in at:
login.live.com/
I get the message "It looks like someone else might be using your account".
I am immediately routed to account recovery.
After answering many detailed tedious questions (including recent email contacts, email subjects, last 4 digits and expiration date of credit cards used to purchase Microsoft products) I receive the message below:
We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account emailaddyathotmail.com. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your ownership of this account using the information you provided. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously, and we are committed to protecting the personal information of customers. Please submit a new account verification form.
I have submitted this form twice but still no success.
When I try to call customer service I am told by an automated message that account login issues can only be addressed online.
My devices can't update software and apps because this email address was linked to everything. What can I do?
