go into Device Manager and remove ALL video drivers [will take a few steps]. Then on reboot you will hopefully get the opportunity to install the new drivers.
Also possibly need to get old driver references out of the registry.
Hi. I'm using(or, at least, trying to use) an Nvidia GeForce FX5200 video card, and every time that I install the driver, whether from the CD that came with it, or the ones downloaded from NVidia, Windows fails to load after restart.
Well, actually, Windows starts to load, and i can get into safe mode, but when attempting to start normally, I just get a blank screen.
I'm running windows XP home, and Ive tried pretty much everything I can think of. Ive formatted the drive and completely reinstalled a couple times, but with no luck . I have gotten the card to work on this computer, im not really sure how, but it never ceases to fail again after I shutdown or restart.
If anyone has any idea of what I could do, i'd really appreciate it.
