Because a corrupted profile can occur, make sure you have at least TWO login accounts which have administrator rights. Since you haven't indicated that you are currently using an admin account, be sure that you're using an account with admin rights. Go to the Control Panel-User Accounts and make sure your account is an administrator. Once that's done, then create a new one by clicking on the "Manage another account", then select the "Add a new user in PC Settings".
If you're not logged in as a user with admin rights, then please do so, if you can.
Once the second admin user is created, if your current user login doesn't work as expected, you can always log in to the second admin user and try installing items there.

Just purchased a desktop from CyberPowerPc and it came yesterday. I can go on the Internet, watch Netflix, everything. The problem is when I try to install something, such as Microsoft Office 365, it just disappears. I can download the setup, and then click yes on the approval for it to install and the Office 365 logo flashes and then it just disappears. There's nothing in the task bar, on the desktop, anywhere. The task manager says it's open but it isn't doing anything/using any CPU. I've tried closing it from the task manager and tried to install it multiple times but nothing works.
I've seen a few solutions on other websites like disabling the audio from services but nothing seems to work.
Please let me know if you have any ideas! I'm also not very tech savvy so exact and specific steps would be very helpful. Thank you so much!
