Some apps do not work on other than C:
It's an old issue and why I strongly suggest folk stick with C since unless the app's author fixes it, it's dead.
As to Glary or Spybot, not any title I'd use.

This has happened just recently, that when downloading from Cnet, say Glary Util or Spybot, I selected to install to other than the regular drive - C:\ - I selected a drive partioned on my hard drive to install software not Microsoft, E;\Program Files, thru the Browse option. It started to install it and then it came back telling me it could not because access was denied ???
Then, I redid it, letting it install it on the default - the C;\- and it worked fine in both cases.
I have Windows XP Media Ctr 2004 with SP3.
