unable to go on line

I am using a Compaq Presario 1200, WIN2000 Pro, 128mb. I had Win 98 before and had no problem getting on line. Now i step up to win 2000 and now getting on line is impossible. What should be my next move.(Note in device manager i have no question signs and it shows that my internet card is working fine)

as to how your installed 2K, how you get to the Internet, what type of hardware is being used?

Did you finish the 2000 install?

Not a word in your post about drivers for all the hardware. Microsoft doesn't do that for you.
