Question

Unable to get into Google

Apr 27, 2015 9:38AM PDT

I can't get into the Google or Bing search engines. I can get into the Google News but if it use Google or Bing I can't get to it no matter what browser I use.

Is there something wrong with Google or my computer.

Hi, it could be connected with your antivirus program. Deinstall it and see if the problem is resolved. Then you can install it again. Other solution could be preinstallation of Windows.

What have you tried with what browser?

Look for the gear icon/tool->select option->hi-lite search->select default search engine. This is from "fire fox" browser.

Not all browser are the same, but try that. Hope it works.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Apparently I installed a few bad programs.

My computer and abilitity to use a browser, and I have four installed: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Slim Browser and Comodo Dragon, got worse and worse. I was forced to reinstall Windows 8.1. Now my computer works great.
