Unable to edit names for digital channels?

On my UN55B6000 with cable TV, I have over 70 analog channels and 23 DTV channels. When viewing the channel listing, the Tools button brings up a menu with options for the selected channel. For analog channels, there's a choice to edit the channel name. For digital channels this choice is missing.

Is there any way to edit the listing names for digital channels, or do I really have to memorize the QAM channels for each station?

So far it really seems like digital channels are second class citizens on my LED TV, which is a shock to me. First, I discovered digital channels can't be used with external audio, now I find I can't rename them in the listing either.

Is this really the case?
