Unable to download using Internet Explorer

by toneguy86 / April 3, 2010 2:54 PM PDT

Right now I get an error message every time I try to download anything, including (ironically) anything from the Microsoft web page. I have tried all suggested ideas involving adding URLs to "trusted sites" in internet options (this worked once but not any other time after that) and changing advanced settings under Options--Internet. Every other solution I have seen in your videos or anywhere else on the net does not seem to make a difference. Any help appreciated.

IE message: operation timed out
by smithrelo / September 10, 2011 9:16 AM PDT

Hi, I tried the above post - about UNmarking "do not save encryped pages to disk" except mine was already unmarked. I get a message that ends with Operation times out - and it shows I get to 99% downloaded, but seems to hang up there and never finish. Wondering what has happened, as I download every month a new game from Yahoo games, but have been unable to for past 2 weeks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
