Unable to download software programs

Good day. My PC has some problems. When downloading any software programs from Firefox, a page either showing an error message "declined to show this website" or "Object has been blocked" message shows. Need help on what can cause downloads to be blocked.

Does it work in IE?

If not, what error message do you get there?

Other questions:
- Can you give an example link for us to try?
- What Firefox add-ons have you installed?
- What other security software (bad sites, for example can be blocked by Spybot) do you have installed
- Are it only .exe files that are blocked? Or also zip-files, pdf-files, jpg-files?
