I use GPARTED to delete then recreate the partition in the OS I intend to use it as and as far as files, restore from backups.
I have tried installing Ubuntu on my Windows 10 machine but for some reason, it didn't work. I am now trying to remove the partitions that it made. I removed them in Ubuntu (whilst booting Ubuntu from a USB stick) but they still show up in Windows Disk Management. When I right click on them, the only option is 'help'. I have also noticed that the largest volume used to be labelled 'Healthy (primary partition)' but is now labelled 'Simple volume'. Is there a way to change this back? I have already tried EaseUS but it gives me the same options as Windows Disk Management. Here is a link to a screenshot of Windows Disk Management
