Jul 26, 2007 6:44AM PDT

Hello,
I was wondering if someone out there could help us. I have aquired a used laptop that is running Win2K. I have accessed the net before witt it, and now I cannot. I'm comfortable with computers, though not a wiz. Any ideas on what I should try?

How about Winsock repair?
Jul 28, 2007 1:53AM PDT

Can you ping your ISP? If you know the server addresses used in the domain name search sequence you can try to ping from the command window. If you get a reply, you might have a damaged winsock. This is the MS way to fix it.
