Device Manager

I would try this: right click on my computer, select properties, then in that window, select hardware, then select device manager. In the device manager with the HD plugged in, click action, scan for hardware changes. After it finishes, try going back to my computer and seeing if the drive shows up. I would also try plugging the HD into a couple different USB ports. The other thing you probably should try is checking the manufactorers website to see if there are any driver downloads for it. Good Luck.
