.. are more fragile and more prone to judder - for a 75in screen 4K broadcast/resolution would be perfect. SD/HD contents is not that great due to the big upscale process. However, wait for the repair and see for yourself - otherwise go for a smaller screen.
So I recently purchased a UN75F8000 TV based on the good reviews I had seen online. I bought the TV open item from Bestbuy being assured that it had gone through a series of tests and that it was in perfect working condition. Well... after playing with the set for a bit I have found numerous problems. The picture looks terrible in low light scenes. It looks very gray and grainy (on blu ray) and also has really bad vertical banding. In low light scenes when the camera is panning its horrible. I have noticed some judder and also a quarter sized spot in the center part of screen that seems to be a bit brighter than everything else in white or very light scenes. I know LEDs are prone to have all these issues, but the reviews for this TV made them sound nonexistent. So I had geeksquad come out and they are going to replace the LED panel. My question to you all is will this fix most of these problems? My knowledge in this area is not great... Are there other parts of the TV (not panel) that could be causing these issues? Id like to just return the TV and buy a new one if replacing the panel is useless. I obviously don't know anyone else with the same TV to compare pictures with. If anyone could tell me anything about panel replacement and how it normally affects these issues, id really appreciate it! Thanks!!
