UN55HU6830FXZA and UN55HU6840 differences? both 4K UHD TV.

I bought the 30 model from Best Buy for $900 but yet I saw the 40 model on Samsung's web site for $1K. So really is there a difference? I thought the MSRP for the 30 was listed for $1400 but the 40's MSRP was $2K. So basically it seems like I was not getting a super deal for a blockbuster sale at best buy for $900 and I saw mad people waiting. What you guys think about these 2 TV's?

I have the same question....

In reply to: UN55HU6830FXZA and UN55HU6840 differences? both 4K UHD TV.

I also purchased the 6830 Best Buy version of the Samsung 55" UHDTV. I installed it last night, and it seems to be working OK. However, after reading all (many) threads from AVS forum and this one, I am thinking, maybe I did not get what I thought I was getting. 6830 model seem to be a "cheapened" model specially made for Best Buy Balck Friday. The TV cam with standard REMOTE, not the ones shown in the Samsung website video into. Also, it did not come with any of the "DTS" stereo features. What gives????

Please let me know the difference between the two as I have some time to return this to Best Buy and get the other one, albeit $100 more for 6840...

no difference

The 6840 and the 6830 appear to be the same tv with different model numbers. As the 6830 is just the "best buy exclusive model." The only reason they made different model numbers is possibly due to eliminating price matching. Im not sure of the model number but Samsung also makes another tv with the same specs however it comes with a better remote with a screen or something. They charge anotherr $100 for it.

what kind of remote and it comes with some type of screeen?

In reply to: no difference

thought this remote was that you could "talk" to it. Guess it's not like that. Are you guys having a problem where whenever you turn on the tv, it said network disconnected? I would have to click retry like 2 times and then it connects. the connection error shows from the router to the "internet". I have a prompt when I turn on the TV where I get that. the internet is not connect. Also do you guys have a problem when you turn on the tv, you get no picture and no audio? Mine is connected to Verizon STB on port 1. I would switch it from port 1 to port 2 and then back. then I get audio but no video.. a blank screen. and then I end up powering down the STB and then the pictures and audio comes back in.. do you guys have this problem? I think this TV is a scam TV. long lines waiting and thinking it would sell out. a few days later and even a week later, this TV was still available for $900 from best buy. This was a crappy black friday sale from Best Buy. Is this one of the worst black friday sale that Best Buy did? Do you guys see some 4K content from YouTube? I looks like the slower your internet, (Mine is supposed to be 50/50 possibly). the worst the streaming picture? 4K content looks ok but when I go up close to the TV, I don't see those individual pixels that I was expecting to see. I guess you must have a 4K blu ray or something when it actually comes out cuz all they got is this fake 4K streaming stuff from YouTube junk. comments??
