Question

UN55H7150 Volume Control

Feb 28, 2015 2:24AM PST

Bought late 2014 but didn't get up and running until Jan 2014.
I am using a DirecTV remote, but when the problem occurs, it also occurs on the little smart remote that came with the TV.
After a period of time, weeks, the volume control stops working. First, it will only respond very slowly and often after several pushes of the button, and then stops responding altogether.

The last time this happened, the little Samsung remote also lost all control of the little light that highlights your choices and I almost ended up with the wrong language because I tried to go back to the original setup thinking that might be the problem.

Always call glitches in.

That way, even if it falls out of warranty you have it logged (keep the transaction number forever.)

And the usual advice is "new batteries."

If it were the batteries
Feb 28, 2015 6:23AM PST

If it were the batteries I would expect other functions not to work properly. It is only volume control on both devices and the light on the Samsung remote.

Plus, the first time it happened I played around in the menu settings and somehow got it working again, but then a few weeks later it did it again. That was the time the little light went haywire too. Then, it magically got fixed again, but then today it is starting to happen again.

Thanks for the advice though.

I wish that was true.

Over the years I've seen many things. Good some magic happened.

I will try
Mar 6, 2015 7:29AM PST

Thanks, I will try this next time.

The last time it happened and I wasn't able to even control the little light, I turned the TV off and then back on again. After this, the TV suddenly turned itself off, the little Samsung icon showed up on screen, and then the TV came back on again and everything was working normally, so I was thinking there must've been some sort of reset going on.
