Turned off Anynet+ on TV and problem fixed. Now turning TV off/on does not "hang" the pass thru signal from the Denon AVR. Not sure yet what I lost by turning off Anynet+ but hopefully nothing important. I have a Logitech Harmony One remote so don't care about the CEC feature of using only one device's remote.
Hopefully Samsung will address this HDMI-CEC issue, but I won't hold my breath ![]()
Picked up a new Denon AVR-2112CI receiver to go with Sammy UN55D7000 and am fighting with the HDMI pass-through. Connected cable box to HDMI3 on Denon and TV Out(ARC) from Denon to HDMI2(ARC) on 7000, both using hdmi 1.4a cables (high speed with internet).
HDMI settings on Denon:
HDMI Audio Out - TV
HDMI Control - ON
Standby Source - HDMI3
P.Off Control - All
I'm certain I had this working for a while...could set Denon to standby and video/audio from cable box would appear on TV after a few seconds. Now, it works at first, but when I turn TV off, then on again, 7000 shows it's set to HDMI2, pic from cable box may flash for less than a sec (or no pic), then message comes up "No signal detected" and stays black. If I switch the 7000 to a different input (say HDMI1) for a few secs, then back to HDMI2 it will work. I've tried different cables but no diff. Not certain, but I think the pass-through stopped working after I flashed the 1012 firmware on the 7000. I wanted to try flashing back to 1010 to see if prob would disappear but can't find the 1010 files ... anyone know where I can download?
Anyone have HDMI pass-through probs like this?
