UN55C8000 Sports Ticker/ Jittery Sports Picture Issue

Hi, I have the UN55C8000 and recently noticed that when watching sports the ticker on the bottom of the TV appears to skip along the screen.

Seems to happen at times with fast moving sports as well. Really have noticed it during the NHL playoffs. I have tried all the various AutoMotion 240hz settings and so far no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hi, Thank you for the reply. I have not yet. One of the appealing aspects of the TV was having the auto motion plus so I have been reluctant to turn it off. I will try tonight.

Turned off the auto motion plus and still saw the same issue watching the Red Sox game last night.

Be aware it can be in the source.

As many cable cos have moved to digital encoding, sometimes it's in the encoding. It's tough to figure out at times where the issue is but I had this old set that I could see the issue STILL after connecting with the analog output of the cable box.

Thank you for the information. Do you think I should contact Comcast about possibly getting a new box? Thanks

Chris420,

You could, but it may be how the signal is broadcast.

Then again, if it leads to success, then it'd likely be worth it.

I am so unhappy with Samsung. I bought this TV in early 2011 2 m-3 months after I bought it it had red spider lines on the right half called best buy they said just turn the TV off and it will go away. so I did and it worked I had to do this once every two months for 14 months no big deal until it would not go away. Called Samsung and got a run around bunch of crap. Then they had me download a new firmware and now the tv has a weak or no signal ten minutes after I turn the TV on.... so what does Samsung say "you will have to pay for service" I paid 3800. for a piece of junk.... DO not buy Samsung they are cheats and they know they have a problem DO NOT BUY
