HDMI handshake flicker is pretty easy to find but here's the rub. The code behind the HDMI handshake, so far, isn't under the TV maker's control but hard boiled into the HDMI chips. This is why I suggest folk either accept it or exchange for models that work.

DISH 311 receiver was connected to a Vizio E480i-B2, no signal reception problem. [but had many other problems and was returned for a refund.] H6350 TV also has OTA antenna connection. Channel scan got 13HD and 30 SD channels- no reception problems.
Turned on DISH 311 receiver and immediately noticed a half second flick/pulse occurring every 7 seconds on all channels. TV returned to store and connected to Directv receiver- no flick. Exchanged the TV for another H6350 anyway. Back home, replacement TV also had flick problem. A visit from DISH tech. Connected another 311, flick observed by tech. Connected a 19" Vizio to 311, no flick. DISH tech then connected a 211k receiver. No flick detected and problem solved.
I notified Samsung that there is a compatibility problem with the H6350 model and a DISH 311 receiver.
TV has latest 739MB firmware update 2120.3 Made no difference of anything I could observe. But then my TV is not connected to the net so I'll assume that the 739MB update addressed all the 'smart' function issues.
