You read correctly. Pixel scrolling and other image retention prevention features are available only on the plasma TVs. I'm sorry for the confusion. As far as your specific concern about dead pixels, you could use this thread to follow up with one of our friendly social media agents: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-13973_102-542437/service-issues-click-here-for-help/

I purchased the last Samsung model of this tv today at a local store. However after having it on a couple hours I came to find a red dead pixel in the middle of the tv. I would have returned it had it not been the last one but due to that wanted to see what was covered by warranty. I used the live chat and got sent this link http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faq/FAQ00000558/726/UN46ES6500FXZA however after looking through the settings, I can't seem to find any of these options. Is this for plasma tv's only and was I possibly sent this link mistakenly or am I simply missing an area in the menu? I didn't want to go back through live chat if I was simply overlooking these options to fix the pixel myself.
