Question

UN46D6000SFXZA no picture, blinking light

Jan 4, 2015 11:00AM PST

The TV has no picture, but has blinking lights. It has five sets of two fast blinks, then three slow blinks.

The service manual's troubleshooting section says that if there's no picture and that light is blinking, to replace the T-CON board. I am assuming this is part # BN96-16486A. Does that blink code mean anything or just follow the service manual?

3. How to distinguish if the problem is caused by Main board or T-Con.
a. No Video : If the problem is No Video but BLU is on and Indication LED is blinking repeatedly and faster than nomal booting,
replace the T-Con board.
