ultrawide vs AW2518Hf

I'm going to pick out a monitor and I just wanted to know which would be better for games like csgo, Overwatch, Rainbowsix siege, and Destiny. There's the Alienware (AW2518Hf) 24.5 which is 240hz with a 1ms response time and is full HD with FreeSync VS. the Acer XZ350CU which is an UltraWide with 4ms response time, 2560 x 1080, 35inch's, and 144hz. I use an RX 580 8gb

I'm very old school and setup old 1080p 60Hz for reliable use. Your GPU should be fine with the FreeSync monitor so why not?
