Frankly with 42 inch sets found for less than the repair cost I'd get a new set. Also since disposal here is 150 bucks I'd buy where they will cart around the old set.

Ill be brief here cause I really need help
in 2004 I purchased this 42" HDTV for about $1700, I won some money at a lottery....
The Original Bulb lasted until 2010 I replaced it
The Next Bulb was replaced in 2013 and now the picture quality is just not right
There is a RED glow through out the picture
If the image has a lot of white, and recently you don't need to see white...there is a yellow Border that comes in about 1.5" from the top, left side, right side and bottom...
In order to get a decent picture brightness is almost maxed out, Contrast is almost non existent....
Is there a fix to this or should I just replace?

I can break it up into small peices...our trashmen are great at taking stuff, I threw out 6 computers once, woke up and they were gone! LOL
and with the cost of bulbs at $130 each I already purchased 2 of them so perhaps an 11 year old tv is pretty much dead
And there are other web pages about it, that it's not the bulb but somewhere in the light engine.
As to the trash, some get upset about this but that's not how to recycle that. I wish folk would never send it in the trash like that.
