Ultra Notebook, Driver Needed

by OHMCD / October 25, 2003 3:07 AM PDT

A notebook somebody gave me does not show its operating system because it says (on its opening screen) that it does not have a driver. From my understanding, a friend of the former owner had tried to install a different operating system other than Windows on this notebook, failed, and then left as is.

I would like to find the manufacturer on the internet to download the driver but am unable to determine the manufacture's name. All that is on the notebook is the name

FULL MESSAGE - Ultra Notebook

A notebook somebody gave me does not show its operating system because it says -on its opening screen- that it does not have a driver. From my understanding, a friend of the former owner had tried to install a different operating system other than Windows on this notebook, failed, and then left as is.

I would like to find the manufacturer on the internet to download the driver but am unable to determine the manufacture's name. All that is on the notebook is the name -Ultra-. I tried conducting a search using the FCC ID number -FCC ID- IIRTS30PS - on the back of the notebook and could not find. When requesting help at the FCC Consumer Center, they conducted the search and told me the manufacturer with that ID is -Full Power Investment Co Ltd.- I have been unable to find anything under this name when trying a Google search.

I believe that the FCC Consumer Center had mistaken, as whatever Full Power Investment Co Ltd is, it is not a computer manufacturer. Anybody here have a suggestion on how I can find the driver of this notebook and get it running? Is there a listing someplace of computer products showing their manufacturers? Or a site that has all of the windows drivers?

Thank you for your attention.

Get a Windows Install disk

Hey, if your cd rom drive is working then put a windows install disk in it and it should reformat it and then it should work. Unless the problem is a hardware issue.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
