Ugrading from Mac Lion DP 4 to Retail Lion

Hi, I just saw the seed note about not being able to upgrade from DP 4 to retail lion. Does anyone know how to do a clean install without deleting your datas?

Why not plan as if your hard drive was going to fail during install? Then you are ready.
