Resolved Question

UE40D8000

Aug 13, 2014 2:21PM PDT

Hi All,

I moved from Europe to Canada and brought my TV (samsung smart tv UE40D8000) with me.

I would like to use HD antenna to receive off the air digital tv. When I connect the antenna the automatic channel scan does not find anything. I suspected it's due to the difference in channel frequencies between Europe and Canada.

Any ideas on how to make it work would be appreciated.
Thanks.

In this case you want a new tuner.

Shop for an external tuner, even if it's in some BluRay/DVD player that outputs on HDMI. Sorry to keep it short why it's not cost effective to change the tuner and more.

Here's a #1 seller for a tuner with HDMI out.
