I'm sorry--I forgot to mention Samsung in the thread title. I came here from the Samsung forum, and forgot that this one covers all brands.
Hi there,
I've just bought this TV, and would be very grateful if anybody could suggest some tweaks and calibration settings so that I can get the best out of the picture. I bought it because I read very positive reviews about the SD picture, and although it's pretty good out of the box it really isn't the quality of picture I expected to see. I think that's prolly because I need to calibrate it.
This is my first 'modern' television, and I'm completely at sea with the new technology and terminology. If there's a place where I can start to learn about it then I'd be grateful for a link. I've been reading around a couple of forums for a couple of days, but everybody knows so much more than me that it's as though they're speaking a foreign language
I also got the (free) Samsung BD-C5900 Blu-ray Disc/DVD player, and bought a Humax HDR-Fox T2 PVR. I have them both attached (via HDMI) and working, but I'm not sure whether I also need to adjust their settings to work best with the television. Newbie question, but... should I expect to use the Humax as a source for viewing?
Many thanks for any help anyone can give a newbie ![]()
