i have a external HDD 1TB size and i'm sure i able to use PVR usb feature because TV asks to format it in order to be able to use it.
Now my HDD contains data/backups and i don't want /can't to delete them so i would to create another partion (2 in total) in order to use only one for PVR and other one to backup/show foto video and other.
My question TV when will ask to format HDD it' format only one partition ? If so, how can i be sure it'll format partition without data?
I think to be clear? Wink
Thanks in advance for your help.

In reply to: Not sure...

first...I have a europe TV (Italy).
Anyway i reached my goal in this way:
1) i created two partition on my Maxtor HDD 1TB, (700MB + 300MB) by preserving the already data present in my HDD.
2) I plugged it in to TV and it recognized that how two distinct external sources (2 partitions -> 2 HDD sources !) then for timeshift/PVR funcionality i selected one (of course that with not data)
3) TV formatted source previously chosen....
NOW i have 1 HDD but 2 external USB sources for my TV, one for PVR/timeshift/ and other one for backup/video/photos/...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
