Ubuntu install help!

May 6, 2007 1:21PM PDT

I have 2 HDD
I installed windows in 1, linux in the other.

When i boot up in windows, i cant see my other HDD with the linux on it, and vice versa.
How do i fix that?
One HDD is sata ntfs (i think) the other is IDE fat32 (i think)

Also how can I make it so when the computer boots up i can choose which OS to boot into?

Did you do something odd?

Some do an odd install by selecting which drive to boot to via a BIOS menu. But your post is void of details so I can't see what you did different than boot the Linux CD and click on the install.

I only other information I can think of that can help you help me is I first boot up with the CD. Since it's live, I get to preview linux.
NExt i went to Administrator>install and installed it, I used the delete whole disk install.

What boot manager you installed and to which drive. You never reveal how you choose which OS is booted.

Windows will never be able to see Linux, and ..

I notice ubuntu won't see windows either, which is also normal (some other distro doesn't do this as far as I know).

Double vision here too.

I see the Windows partitions just fine. But there is a "special" install that can result in this. But I never suggest that way.
