UBS adapter problem with the samsung LN 750

Mar 16, 2009 6:25AM PDT

My 52" 750 Samsung T.V. after setting up the Info link does not work properly. It is extremely erratic is,as far as, when it will and will not work. The problem I experience the most is, after turning the T.V. off and on again the network setting defaults back to cable instead of staying in the network setting wireless.I talked to a tier 2 specialist and he stated there is no way around this flaw.At times when the T.V. is turned off for a short period of time,approx.20 second, it may stay in the wireless network mode but does not read the signal from the wireless router. If it does that I turn the T.V. off wait for at less 30 seconds, like a computer reboot, and turn the T.V. back on. The T.V. may revert back to the cable network setting by default again, in which I repeat the exhausting exercise mentioned above.
The price we pay to be on top of the tech world... I hope for a firmware fix,but I feel Samsung may want us to live with this so called minor inconvenience.

tystix,

More than anything, I'd rather you be a satisfied customer.

What kind of USB adapter are you using? Are you using a Samsung LinkStick adapter?

Also, you might want to unplug the wired connection, switch the menu to wireless and try configuring it without having it hooked up "twice", so to speak.

Keep me posted.

Yes, I am using the Samsung LinkStick adapter.I do not have a wire connection, hence,USB wireless connection.I tried all the quick fixes suggested by Samsung to no avail. All my other wireless devices work without a wireless connection problem. The Samsung T.V. connects wirelessly like many other wireless devices and should be as stable in the wireless connection as other devices.
All of the other features are great. I am pleased that I purchased this product.I would feel better about the product, when showboating with friends and family,if it worked without me programming this feature during a football game.

tystix,

This gets into some networking, and there are a few threads where people have posted their fixes for this. I would definitely recommend checking around the forums.

Also, you might want to make sure you have the latest firmware update installed, and that your encruption type is supported.
