UA46C6200UR no digital channel search option?

by behrooz_gh / November 25, 2011 3:48 AM PST

Recently I have purchased a UA46C6200URXTW (version CN01). I went to channel search and surprisingly saw there is only analog option for channel search and I was unable to search digital channels. I wonder maybe there is no digital tunner inside the TV. If there is one how can I get digital option to appear in the channel search menu? Do I need upgrade? If so where is the link to the proper upgrade?

upgrade if hardware is there

<span id="INSERTION_MARKER">Firmware. As I have seen from samsung site there should be a menue with digital or analog option bute in our case there is not such menu and tv seraches for analog channels only. If hardware is there (digital tunner) upgrading firmware will fix the problem but if it is not there this upgrade will not help. Maybe someone from samsung only can tell this TV has digital tunner install or not. What I have seen from samsung site it should have been installed.

But I did read in the FAQ that it can grey out the search option if there is no antenna or signals.

not acceptable

This is not acceptable. A TV has a serial number, model, version and ... .This information should clearly tel samsung experts what exactly has installed inside the TV. Samsung should have a database of all sold TVs. I am in Iraq and I am expecting more clear answer. It is easy for Samsung local agents to give some crap explanation. I need a defenite answer based on the information on the TV back label. If these info can't tel what hardware and software exactly installed inside the TV what are they good for then?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
