U.S. deports genocide suspect

Apr 26, 2005 5:15AM PDT

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A man suspected in Rwanda's 1994 genocide has been deported and was handed over to authorities in the African nation on Monday.

U.S. immigration officials said Enos Iragaba Kagaba, 50, was the first person deported under a 1990 U.S. law that says participation in genocide makes a person ineligible to enter the United States.
