Talk about road rage! A remote controlled 50 caliber!

In Dallas, you'd still be out-gunned!

Heavens to Betsy! What are they using down there?
Mar 10, 2004 8:34AM PST

The 50 caliber was kind of fun to shoot, but I am glad I didn't get more experience with it. I was very impressed by the size of the shell.

I read about people firing them as rifles from the top of their trucks.

The article said the recoil knocked them right off the truck. Ouch! Happy

More firepower than necessary, YEAH!
Mar 10, 2004 8:27PM PST

Well both, but if it was one or the other I'd pass on the T-shirt and get the Serbu with the "Have a Nice Day" engraving on the muzzle face.

Neat T-sshirt though, so I'll probably get that first.

Coming soon to a parking lot that's too small for it near you.

I wonder what kinda mileage it gets.

How about those Ford 350 Quad Dualies with the LWB?!
Mar 11, 2004 3:41AM PST

The only good thing is they almost HAVE TO park at the end of any parking lot. The bad is they always take up 2 parking spaces front to back.

All the SUVs around here take up two parking spaces.

The geniuses don't know how to drive the things. Don't get me started. (snarl, mumble)

The way some people drive their 4x4's around here, it wouldn't....

even be on the road (i.e goes over the pavements (pedestrian walkways)). Given that we have rather narrower roads in London than you probably do in America, I would be quite happy to have a turret-mounted gun on top of my small "run-about" car, for those occasions when they don't even indicate at roundabouts etc.

I tend to keep my road rage inside the car, but did make the mistake once in mid-summer when my window was wound down fully...Ooops! Maybe they took the hint, or not, judging from present activity.

The thing about the American toy is that similar ("tank-type") vehicles have been around in various forms for quelling urban riots etc for quite a while. Just makes me glad that I've got enough in the store cupboard that I never need to go out ever again.

Mo
