Windows Messenger is the default messenger built-in on the newer windows operating systems. MSN Messenger is a messenger that supports webcam, audio, video, data transfer and much more. Basically "MSN Messenger" compared to "Windows Messenger" is like "Windows XP" compared to "Windows 98". MSN Messenger 6.1 is only for Windows XP. NET Messenger is an update to Microsoft Messenger.
I am confused by the following 'Messengers' which can be found mentioned on the web: "Windows Messenger", "MSN Messenger" and "Net Messenger Service". (all Microsoft things ?) What are they ? There is also "Yahoo Messenger", but that is self-explanatory. Thanks.
