That's what I do on all my computers. I haven't used Microsoft as any of the admin accounts. A second admin account allows for an easier recovery should one of the profiles/accounts go south, which happens frequently on some machines. Having two admin accounts allows you to make and save system changes should one of the other admin accounts fail.
As to being a network or a homegroup, it's neither.. It's just a login method.
Hope this helps.

When I originally got computer I had to get a Microsoft Account? (came with Windows 8.).
Changed that to a "local account" Told it was safer?
Am now told to I should have made 2 accounts. Microsoft as the Admin. and the another account to make as my Local account.
I am only person who uses computer. I have a wireless router just to stream movies to TV.
Any of this sound reasonable?
Also does have 2 accounts mean I have a Network or Homegroup?
