two video cards?

Jun 2, 2005 7:38AM PDT

So in my Hardware profile under Display Adapters, I have x800 Series listed AND x800 Series Secondary. Why is it listing two video cards when I only have one? And how can I safely get rid of the secondary listing? Any ideas? Thanks.

if you remove it you'll run into problems with the system. apparently ATI does that when the card supports dual monitors or something like that. nvidia does a similar thing when another monitor is connected but ati just has it shown all the time.

that makes sense. although my card doesn't support a second monitor, i guess ATI probably has it in their drivers or something to support other cards that do. and as long as it isn't hurting anything... thanks gmartin!
