two sound cards

Looking to install 2 sound cards in the PC..looks easy enough to do,let me try that again i am very sure about the install itself i am curious if anyone else has tried this...Looking to have one be a 2ch stereo set up with nice SW..The other will be a 5.1 ..not really wanting to run both at the same time.One set up will be used for Music the other gaming...thanks

Can be trouble for Windows.

Even 10, so far I yet to find support so you can play MP3s on one and your game on another. So if you decide to install more than one card, be sure to arrange for a refund.

My warning is just that. I've found folk try more than one sound card which does work, but then complain about control of such from each app.
