Two Hard Drives?

by odoyle / February 23, 2007 2:59 PM PST

I understand that not all laptops have the physical space to fit two hard drives inside. How do I find out if my Laptop can fit a second hard drive?

Or, contact the vendor.

I've never seen a laptop with two HD bays. And this one is no exception. From this site:

I was tempted a few years ago to get one

They aren't everywhere, but I've seen two hard drive configurations in notebooks for years. When notebook hard drive capacities were really low (at least by today's standards), there used to be a lot of talk about getting a 2-spindle or 3-spindle notebook (hard drive, optical drive, floppy drive). You could substitute a second hard drive for one of the other spindles.

Also, the boutique/gaming companies will offer a two HD system in a RAID-0 configuration for speed.

Toshiba offers the Satellite A135 line with dual hard drives.

I am aware of external hard drives, but would prefer an internal one.

So, yet again... Anyone know if a Toshiba Satellite A-100 can fit two hard drives? Just yes or no??

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
