These can be dificult to remove if this fails seek other resources on this site. You will need the developers help to effectively remove security software. This should do it but if it doesn't contact Norton supprt directly.
I recently came back from college, and when I came to use my desktop I noticed a few things wrong with it.
It is a Sony Vaio vgc rb50, using Windows XP.
The first problem is that I can't log into any secure website. Anything with "https", or any website requiring a password, such as wachovia.com, facebook.com, or yahoo.com.
The second problem is, I would like to uninstall Norton Antivirus, because the firewall keeps getting in the way of a program I am trying to use. It is not in the system tray, not on the desktop, and not in the start menu. I can not find the icon for Norton anywhere, however when I go to 'Add/Remove Programs" it is there. I tried to uninstall it, but it says I need to open Norton up and log in as an administrator, but I cannot find the program to log in to it!
