Two Computer SP2 Upgrades = 2 Different Stories !!

Updated two of my computers with SP2.

One is a Compaq with an AMD 1800 XP and the Update works perfect on this machine.

The other Computer is a Sony Vaio with a P4 2.4 Gig and this one seems to work fine also except when starting up after the computer has been shut down.

It takes like 10 minutes to load up?

The Desktop Icons creep on the screen one at a time at a snail's pace.

The same goes for the task bar and start button also.

After the 10 startup it all seems to work fine.

Do I have to live with this slow start up of this computer or is there something I can do?

Thanks for your help..

Check to see if, for some reason, your HD is in PIO mode.

Look at your system events to see if anything is being polled multiple times (such as a Server).

Then take a look at your System Services and see if any have been added that you may have no need for.
