Twitchy Optical Mouse

Oct 5, 2004 8:00AM PDT

I just got a new Dell about 2 months ago, and it came with an optical mouse. Ever since we got the mouse, it's been really twitchy and inprecise. For instance, let's say I want to move the mouse horizontally across the screen, in a straight line, it doesn't move straight, it goes and and down in a wavy of zig-zig line. Also, it's hard to click on the scroll bar because it twitches around a lot.

NVM, the crappy mousepad reflects the laser I think, it works well if you use it on paper.

Along with using a white paper for the mousepad, make that mousepad in the red color. It's much more percise.
...ALSO go into your "mouse properties" and slowdown the mouse's speed till it gets tame. On mine I have to go down to one notch under mid point.
...Optical mouses now get "Hairballs", clean the mouses opticle lenz once in a while.
