Question

TV turns on and off

I have a Samsung ln-t4066f someone gave me. It keeps turning on and off. This seems to be a common problem as I found online. However, I only wish to use this TV with a Chromecast or Roku stick so I will not be using it with a cable box. Is there something I can unhook from the motherboard to stop it from turning on and off and I can still use it with an external device?
