Do you have the installation CD? Does it have a user's manual?

Your tuner should definitely come with some software that will allow you to watch TV on it. If not, you may be able to use Windows Media Center to do it (if you have Vista).

To make matters worse there is no make or model on the car.

Even if said box said Gateway, we can find out what tv card came with that model.

It would be a shame to find out you knew this all along.

universal software

all i got was the card and thats it nothing else so basically if its not on on the card somewhere or if the computer cant read the name of it then I'm out of luck unless some genius out there knows how.

But what i don't get is shouldn't there be some sort of universal software that i can download online???

Something called the GEEXBOX. Too bad you didn't take hi-res photos and post them on photobucket or elect to tell all you can find on the chips and board (any characters and more.)

It's almost as if you don't want anyone to help you find out what it is. Sorry if that's not true but look at the number of posts and not a single detail about the board.

Take the card out

Check for make and model number, go to makers website download drivers and software.
Another option is to Google for Belarc Adviser and download, then install it. It should be able to pickup make and model for you.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
